Sooooo... I was really enjoying living close to my mom and dad. Playdates at my mom's house and my dad comes over for lunch every once in a while since we are close to his work. But alas... only for 6 more months because my parents have been called to be the mission president in BERLIN GERMANY!! Yup!! They leave July 1st. Crazy! For those of you who aren't members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I'll explain a little bit. You've all seen our missionaries, young men and women in their suits, skirts and nametags with Bibles and Book of Mormons in hand. We have those missionaries all over the world and our church leadership asks couples like my dad and mom to be the leaders over the missionaries in a particular area. It is for 3 years and is a very exciting opportunity! I'm sad that they'll be so far away for 3 years, but we'll go visit for sure. I'm proud of them and know that they will do an amazing job!!!

Wow! That is VERY exciting! So many fun places for them to see while they are there - definitely a place you'll have to go visit while they are there!

THAT IS AWESOME!!! Honestly, I am totally not surprised at all. I've been waiting and waiting to hear when your dad (and mom) would get to share their talents with more members of the Church. That is so exciting. I am jealous for Berlin. The members, the missionaries. They are two of the best leaders, speakers, and people in general. Berlin is very blessed. That is soooo exciting.
What a small world! My cousin, Monica Morey is serving her mission in Berlin Germany. She'll be out there for a year come this March. So maybe they'll be her Mission Pres. Wow! I'm glad to hear that your parents are serving. Carlos and I have talked about it already, and we're totally wanting to do it when we're older. Congrats!
