John starts taking the Cali Bar Exam tomorrow!!! He has been so dedicated in his studying... months of studying. He's amazing! Hallelujah it is finally here and can be done. Three days of testing... six hours a day! He'll be so ready for some vacation come Friday! So if you can't reach us... its because we are in the mountains, at the lake with no cell phone reception. But we'll be back in cell phone range come next Tuesday. Thanks for all the prayers directed our way! Much appreciated!
Oh... and I've made some killer flashcards if anyone is thinking about taking the Cali Bar Exam and wants us to save it for them :) haha

We don't have a baby anymore.. we have a big girl!

The Beach
We had some down time Saturday afternoon, so we hopped in the car and drove 8 minutes to the beach....something that I'd taken for granted growing up. It's nice to come back and have a greater appreciation for things I'd always taken for granted... the beach... the mild weather...family... parking... lawns... backyards.... dishwashers... washers and dryers. We've been here over a month and I'm still in shock from having these luxuries. But I must say how much we miss our friends in Jersey! Cali play group at the park just doesn't compare (especially since on Friday Mia and I were the only ones who attended..I thought at least the person who sent out the email arranging it would attend, but apparently not...haha)

4th of July Parade
Parades are so much more fun with a little one! Mia LOVED Alameda's 4th of July Parade...according to our newspaper it is one of the largest 4th of July parades in the WORLD (just in case any other countries out there are having 4th of July parades :) )
