Our latest adventures...

We've been working on feeding Miss Norah solids the last while and sometimes she gets so messy Mia can't stand to watch :)

When Mia gets over the messiness of it all, then she likes to help

These were my creations the other week for a dessert auction our boy scouts at church had to raise money. It was fun to have an excuse to try something new. My sister Megan who is staying with me for the next month (hooray!) and I tried a bouquet of chocolate covered strawberries and a fruit bouquet. Our bouquets raised over $100 for the boy scouts... not bad for less than $10 worth of materials

My latest kick...

With our amazing orange tree in the backyard I've been making at least one smoothie every day for the last 2 months. I remembered a friend told me that if I put fresh spinach in my smoothie I wouldn't even be able to taste it but would get all the nutrients.... so I started putting fresh spinach in my smoothies... and then in my alfredo sauce... and my chicken salad... and scrambled eggs..... and I can't stop. You really can't taste it... you just can really see it because it turns everything green. I blend it in my fabulous Magic Bullet that I love and add it to whatever we are having for dinner. Mia thinks its fun that everything is green... but she's worried she's going to turn green so we always have to have some food that's another color to balance her out and keep her from turning green :) Above is my green smoothie and scrambled egg, ham, potato, spinach burrito. Of course we had to read "Green Eggs & Ham" for a bedtime story that night :) The things I do to get veggies into my child (and husband for that matter...haha).

Hooray for Easter!

It was a rainy Easter for us... so no outdoor family pics :( Sad!

This one is blurry but I like it anyway :)

Gotta love matching Easter dresses. I didn't know I'd enjoy that so much having 2 girls... but I really really do. It just makes me happy :)

Because of the rain we had an indoor Easter egg hunt at our friends house.

Mia loved dying the eggs!

Norah can sit up now! Hooray! Can't believe she's 6.5 months old!

Sisters...Sisters...

Now that Norah is almost 6 months old (crazy!!!) she and Mia interact much more. Mia can get some of Norah's biggest laughs and it is one of my most favorite things to watch :) And Norah can get the biggest rise out of Mia ... especially by pulling Mia's hair. That does NOT go over well with big sister :) Norah just cut her first two teeth this week which has totally disrupted the good night's sleep that we both had going there for a while...sad!

In other news... and still fitting under the title "Sisters" ... my sister Cari is officially engaged to be married! She's been going to school at BYU-Hawaii and met a boy out there from the area. So we are planning a trip to Hawaii in July so we can attend her wedding at the temple in Kona. Oh shucks...we just HAVE to go to Hawaii :) It'll be great too because my mom will get to come for a couple days from her mission in Germany so then she'll get a chance to meet Norah. So most of the wedding festivities will be in Hawaii, but we will have an open house for her in the Bay Area (which I'm in charge of... so we'll see how that goes :) )
