We had some down time Saturday afternoon, so we hopped in the car and drove 8 minutes to the beach....something that I'd taken for granted growing up. It's nice to come back and have a greater appreciation for things I'd always taken for granted... the beach... the mild weather...family... parking... lawns... backyards.... dishwashers... washers and dryers. We've been here over a month and I'm still in shock from having these luxuries. But I must say how much we miss our friends in Jersey! Cali play group at the park just doesn't compare (especially since on Friday Mia and I were the only ones who attended..I thought at least the person who sent out the email arranging it would attend, but apparently not...haha)

We miss having you at playgroup also Lisa. So many people are leaving the ward, our playgroup will really dwindle. Hopefully more people move in. Mia looks like she is a Cali girl already on the beach. :)
I had that happen to me before too. The first playgroup I show up to, and no one else is even there! So fun!
If I had received the e-mail I would have done my best to be there. =) That doesn't make playgroup very fun. Isn't it great to be so much more appreciative of all those "little" things that make life so much easier?
