4th of July Parade

Parades are so much more fun with a little one! Mia LOVED Alameda's 4th of July Parade...according to our newspaper it is one of the largest 4th of July parades in the WORLD (just in case any other countries out there are having 4th of July parades :) ) Mia sat or stood on our laps the whole 2 hours cheering and waving her flag. She cheered especially loud when her auntie Cari walked by in the parade . Cari was hired to carry a shovel and pull a wagon to clean up after the horses in the parade. She and her friends got $300 to do it!! They actually enjoyed doing it and wore t-shirts they'd made that said, "#1 at #2." Cari even got quoted in the SF Chronicle. Haha!
